It´s a good idea to have Shimano´s TL-LR15 Lockring Removal Tool around for swapping your freehub body to a sleek new set of carbon hoops, whether you´ve got the new wheels yet or not. The solid steel tool works with Shimano rotors and cassettes, and is compatible with a 24mm wrench. We´ve always used Shimano and SRAM interchangeably, but Shimano leads us to believe there may be some compatibility issues if you try and use this tool with anything besides Shimano componentry.
